Andile Dlamini: The Indomitable Wall
The indomitable goalkeeper, Andile Dlamini, has been a fortress between the sticks, consistently showcasing composure, agility and leadership whenever called upon. Affectionately known as “Sticks,” Dlamini’s match-winning saves and steady consistency were pivotal in Sundowns’ fifth consecutive Hollywoodbets Super League title and South Africa’s historic 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph. Her recognition in the CAF FIFPRO XI is a true testament to her continuous brilliance and solid dedication to the game.

At just 23 years old, Karabo ‘Cream’ Dhlamini has emerged as one of the brightest stars in African women’s football. Her versatility and dynamism have made her a key player for both Club and Country.

Her inclusion in the CAF FIFPRO WOMEN’s BEST XI highlights her rapid rise in the game and solidifies her position as a future icon in South African football. The defender bagged four goals as Sundowns Ladies romped to a fifth consecutive league title.

“I feel truly honored and happy and this recognition motivates me to work even harder. I did not even know I was part of the Best XI until a day after the awards were announced. This achievement reflects the growth in our Country, especially with four South Africans on the list.”
