THEMBINKOSI LORCH EXCITED TO JOIN MAMELODI SUNDOWNS
Thembinkosi “Nyoso” Lorch could not hide his excitement after joining Mamelodi Sundowns following the completion of his high-profile move to Chloorkop on transfer deadline day.The 30-year-old midfielder, who recently made the switch from Orlando Pirates to Bafana Ba Style, expressed his excitement about reuniting with several Mamelodi Sundowns players whom he has played alongside in the South African national team. “It will be good to meet up again with Themba Zwane, Toboho Mokoena, Ronwen Williams and many others from Bafana Bafana. I look forward to working with them and contributing to the success of the team here at Sundowns.”
Lorch shared his family’s reaction after he signed on the dotted line with the Brazilians, saying, “Whatever makes me happy, they always support me. Of course, some family members didn’t see the move coming, but that is football. Change is part of the game and I appreciate the support from those closest to me.”

Since joining the Buccaneers in 2015, the much loved Nyoso clinched the coveted 2018–19 PSL Player of the Season award and was named South African Player of the Season in the same year. Despite his long stay, he emphasizes that parting ways with the Buccaneers was not an easy decision.
“Leaving was tough, given the time I spent wearing the Pirates jersey and the love I received from the fans. However, I believe that making this move is a crucial step in my career at this time. Being in this new environment and joining a winning team like Sundowns feels incredibly satisfying. I am eager to contribute my best and continue achieving success in this new chapter of my football journey,” Thembinkosi stated.
In his message to the Yellow Nation supporters, Thembinkosi says, “I promise them that they are going to enjoy my football. I will do my best for us to win more and add to what the team has already achieved this season and the previous ones. Your support means everything and I am committed to giving my all for the team and our loyal Sandawana supporters.”

The arrival of Thembinkosi Lorch will undoubtedly infuse Coach Rulani’s squad with more creativity and dynamism as the team gears up for the second half of the season, during which they will compete in the CAF Champions League, pursue an unprecedented seventh successive league title and target success in the Nedbank Cup.
Lorch will be in contention for selection to play when the Brazilians resume their Premier Soccer League campaign against Golden Arrows on Valentine’s Day.
