A Story of Two Milestones: Mbane’s Century and Dhlamini’s Rising Legacy
Author: John AliuIt is a season of milestones for Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies.

Veteran defender Bambanani “Juice” Mbane recently reached the milestone of 100 international appearances for the South Africa Women’s National Team, cementing her place among the most experienced players in the national team’s history. She reached the landmark in Banyana’s friendly against Algeria, completing a journey that began in 2016 with her debut in a 3–0 win over Botswana at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.
At the same time, teammate Karabo Dhlamini celebrated her 50th cap, another significant achievement for one of the country’s brightest young talents.

As one player reflects on a century of appearances and another continues to build an emerging international career, both share their thoughts on representing South Africa, making history and inspiring the next generation.

Bambanani Mbane talks to the Mamelodi Sundowns Digital Magazine on reaching the milestone of 100 National Team Caps.
