History continues to wear Yellow and Blue. Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have once again etched their name into South African football history, clinching a record-extending sixth Hollywoodbets Super League title and their seventh SAFA Women’s League crown overall.

With every season, the Brazilians reaffirm their dominance in women’s football, blending tactical intelligence, remarkable consistency and that unmistakable Sundowns flair that has made them Africa’s most formidable women’s Club.

For Assistant Coach Agnes Nkosi, the achievement represents far more than just another trophy; it is the reward of relentless work, shared belief and unity across every corner of the team.

“Being part of the technical team during such a historic campaign is deeply fulfilling. This season was about consistency, focus and teamwork. Every member of the staff, every player and every supporter contributed to this success. For me, it is a privilege to witness these incredible women grow stronger with every game.”

Nkosi’s influence extends well beyond matchday. Working closely with Head Coach Godfrey Sapula, she plays a key role in shaping the team’s tactical rhythm, player development and game-by-game adaptability, qualities that became hallmarks of the Sundowns Ladies’ campaign.

“As an Assistant Coach, I focus on preparing sessions and guiding individual players to improve specific aspects of their game. This season, we introduced tactical variations that helped us adapt to different opponents. The players embraced those adjustments so well that we were always a step ahead, no matter the conditions or challenges.”

For Goalkeeper Coach Koketso Tshabalala, this year’s triumph reflects the strength of preparation and the unity of purpose that drives the team.

“It feels amazing to be part of this journey and to win the title again. When the team performs well, it shows that every part of the system is working. My role is to ensure our goalkeepers are prepared — physically, mentally and technically. We set high standards from the start, and while we did not meet every target, our defensive record shows how far we have come.”

One moment that stands above the rest for Tshabalala came in a highly anticipated clash — the first-leg battle against TS Galaxy Queens, which Sundowns Ladies won 3–1, thanks to a brilliant Refilwe Tholakele hat-trick.

“There was so much pressure around that game, as everyone was watching and waiting to see if we could handle it. We dominated, won convincingly and sent a clear message to the rest of the league. That match summed up our mentality — calm under pressure, clinical when it matters most and always ready to rise to big occasions.”

Yet, for all the success, Tshabalala’s hunger remains unshaken. “I am proud of what we have achieved, but I am not satisfied. Not playing in the CAF Women’s Champions League this season hurt us, but it is also our motivation. We want to be back competing against Africa’s best, winning trophies for this Club, and continuing to raise the profile of women’s football.”
