Miguel Reisinho Praises Chloorkop Facilities as He Aims to Reach New Heights

Grit and versatility have defined Miguel Silva Reisinho’s career and the Portuguese midfielder has already begun making an impression at Mamelodi Sundowns.

Having joined from Portuguese side Boavista, the dynamic central midfielder brings a blend of technical skill, tactical intelligence and adaptability, making him a vital addition to the squad as Bafana Ba Style chase both domestic and continental glory this season.

Reflecting on joining the Brazilians and meeting his new teammates, Reisinho said, “Being part of Mamelodi Sundowns is a great honor and responsibility. The dynamic midfielder has already made his mark in continental football with Masandawana. On his CAF Champions League debut, he scored in a 5–1 away triumph over Nigeria’s Remo Stars, helping Sundowns become the first Premier Soccer League (PSL) team to win an away CAF Champions League match against Nigerian opposition. Sundowns went on to secure a comprehensive 7–1 aggregate victory and Miguel remains focused on further contributions.

My goal is to help the team win trophies, perform consistently at the highest level and make a real impact on the pitch. I want to grow alongside the Club, push my teammates to be better and leave a lasting, positive legacy for Sundowns and the supporters.”

Combined with rigorous training and a commitment to constant improvement, he believes the top-class facilities at Sundowns will help him reach even higher levels.
“When I stepped foot at Chloorkop, I was immediately impressed with the facilities, especially coming from Europe. I expected something different, as Africa is often perceived differently, but everything here is world class. The coaches and my new teammates welcomed me from day one and that kind of reception makes you want to give your all for the team.”
