Peter Shalulile on the Hunt: Goals, Glory and the Global Stage “I Just Want to Score” — Shalulile Eyes the Global Stage with Club World Cup DreamsAuthor: xxxxxxxxxIn the eyes of many, Peter Shalulile has already done it all. Golden boots, league titles and a legacy written in goals. But for the man wearing the No. 38 shirt, the mission is far from over. At the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, Shalulile is ready to chase something even greater, glory on the global stage. In an exclusive interview with FIFA, Shalulile opened up about his hunger for goals, his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo, and Sundowns’ ambition to leave a mark on the global stage. “Every day, I just want to score goals. Even on my off days, something feels missing,” he confesses. Talking about football identity. The greater responsibility, flying the flag for Namibia, for Sundowns, for Africa. Shalulile will line up against Borussia Dortmund, Fluminense and Ulsan HD in Group F, and he is not just there to participate. “We do not just go into any competition to make up the numbers. We want to be a team that others fear.” Since arriving in Chloorkop in 2020, Shalulile has racked up over 100 goals in over 200 appearances, helping the Brazilians to four consecutive league titles. Yet the secret to his success lies beyond the stats. “It is a never-say-die mentality. In the ups and downs, we kept going. That is who we are.” And with the world watching, the hunger only intensifies. “Showcasing my talent at that level is massive — you go into the history books. A player from Namibia, from Sundowns, scoring at a Club World Cup.” From Windhoek to the WorldShalulile knows he is carrying more than a club badge into the tournament. He is carrying dreams. “Namibia will be watching. They will be glued to the TV. If I can go there, it means anything is possible.” Inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo, driven by purpose, and surrounded by a team of champions, Shalulile is ready to write the next chapter. “Cristiano Ronaldo shaped my life. His mentality, his work ethic… that id who I look up to.” In the land of opportunity, Peter is chasing the American Dream. A dream where Sundowns walk with giants, and where a striker from Windhoek leaves his mark on the world. Read the Full Interview on FIFA+ >>
