The talented youngster joins a list of players who have switched from Matsatsantsa to Masandawana in recent times, following Jeremy Brockie, Aubrey Modiba, Grant Kekana, Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule and Ronwen Williams.
Although primarily deployed as a left-footed winger last season, Maseko showcased his versatility by playing in various positions, including left-back, left-midfield and even as a left-striker. His contributions helped SuperSport secure a third-place finish on the Premier Soccer League (PSL) table and earned qualification for the CAF Confederations Cup. Across 25 games in all competitions, he scored four goals and registered two assists. Maseko’s remarkable performances did not go unnoticed, as he was nominated for the DStv Premiership Young Player of the Season award, which he lost to Cassius Mailula. “Both of them are legends of the game. If I could spend a day with CR7, I would love to ask what his secret is to his longevity and how he stays motivated to keep scoring goals.
